When it comes to a flawless, long-lasting gel application, the magic is in the finish. Cuccio’s professional-grade top coats, glazes, and wipes are designed to protect, enhance, and perfect every set.
Not sure which Cuccio product does what? We’ve broken it down for you, this guide gives you the lowdown on the essential last steps that take your nail game to the next level.
🔍 Let’s dig deeper – starting with Top Coats:
1. Cuccio Veneer Top
Purpose: An essential top coat needed for gel colour, and builder gel applications. This top coat leaves a tacky inhibition layer that requires removal with Finishing Wipe or Prep & Wipe.
Benefits:
- Veneer Top is a high gloss armour for Veneer, Builder and LED hard gels.
- Seals and protects the colour layer – and gives 3 weeks wear time.
- Repels scratches and cracks leaving the nails shiny for the entire length of the wear time. Top is the last layer of the LED/UV curing process.
- Prevents micro shattering – which gives the nails a dull appearance.
- LED/UV lamp needed to cure – 30 seconds LED, 2 minutes UV
Use For:
- Your everyday gel polish application – to create a glossy, hard-wearing finish.
- Your builder gel application – to create a high-gloss, protective finish.
- Your LED hard gel application – use with our Flex Gel, Controlled Levelling Gel and Self Levelling LED gels. This product is fully compatible with these gels to add a final gloss.
2. Veneer No Cleanse Top
Purpose: A no-wipe top coat for gel polish, builders, hard gels and even acrylics.
Benefits:
- Leaves no inhibition layer (the tacky layer left after curing).
- Time saving as no cleansing required after curing.
- High gloss shine and durable – delivers a brilliant, mirror-like finish that is chip resistant.
- Smooths nail imperfections due to its slightly thicker viscosity.
- No micro-shattering
- Great for use with nail art.
- LED/UV lamp needed to cure – 1 minute LED, 2 minutes UV
Use For:
- Gel polish, hard gels, builder gels and even acrylics and dipping powders.
- Nail art – for example with chrome powders, sugar nails etc.
3. Veneer Matte Top Coat
Purpose: A matte top coat that will transform any shade
Benefits:
- Leaves a velvet-like, matte finish
- Air dry product – does not require curing
Use For:
- Gel polish or lacquer
- Provides a smooth, non-reflective finish that gives nails a velvety appearance, diffuses light to create an understated look.
- Pair with glossy shades to create striking, textured nail art
4. Cuccio Pro – UV Gel Seal
Purpose: Extreme high gloss sealer for acrylics or hard gels.
Benefits:
- Extreme high-shine formula
- No tack, wipe-less finish
- Only suitable over hard, non-flexible overlays such as acrylics or hard gels
- Not suitable for soak off gels, builders or gel polish (which are more flexible)
- UV Cure time 2 minutes.
Use For:
- Suitable over hard, non-flexible overlays such as acrylics or hard gels
- Not suitable for soak off gels, builders or gel polish (which are more flexible)
5. Cuccio Pro – Universal Top Coat
Purpose: An extreme high gloss top coat for soak off gels and gel polishes.
Benefits:
- Extreme high-gloss, durable finish
- Soaks off in minutes
- Can be LED or UV cured – 30 seconds LED, 2 minutes UV
Use For:
- Any soak off, flexible gel product such as gel polish, soak off gels or builder gels
- Not suitable for acrylics and hard gels that are less flexible
6. HEMA-free Top Coat
Purpose: Creates a high gloss protective shield for your HEMA-free gel polish
Benefits:
- HEMA-free formulation providing your clients with an alternative to our low-HEMA Veneer formulation.
- Scratch and shatter proof, extremely high gloss.
- Thicker viscosity than our traditional Veneer Top Coat
Use For:
- As a top coat for our HEMA-free gel polish
- Also completely compatible with our low-HEMA traditional Veneer formulation, Builder Gels and Hard gels.
7. Cuccio Glazes
Purpose: Transforms any gel polish, hard gel or builder gel colour
Benefits:
- Adds a sparkle or glimmer to transform shades from simple to spectacular!
- Creates a totally different effect by using the same-coloured Glaze over light or dark shades (for example black, white, pale pinks etc) – one Glaze shade actually creates hundreds of different shades over your gel polish collections.
- Cure time 60 seconds with LED, or 2 minutes UV
Use For:
- This gel topper can be used over Cuccio Veneer and Builder Gels but also hard gels, acrylics and even natural nails.
- We recommend applying a top coat over the finished Glaze. If you are applying over Veneer gel polish, then use our Veneer Top or No Cleanse Top as a final coat.
7. Cuccio Finishing Wipe & Prep & Wipe
Purpose: An effective wipe that removes the tacky inhibition layer left after curing LED or UV products.
Benefits:
- Cost effective finishing wipe solution.
- Removes the tackiness from gel polish or builder top coats, or hard gels.
- Universal product – can be used with any brand.
Use For:
- After curing gel, moisten a Cuccio nail wipe with Prep & Wipe Solution. Thoroughly wipe the cuticle, nail groove and fingertip area to remove the sticky layer
- Always use one wipe per nail to avoid transferring uncured gel onto the skin as this can cause over exposure and reduce the shine on the finished nail
- Finish by washing hands
💡 Pro Tip:
For the longest wear and best results, always use Cuccio’s systems as intended—from base to top. Mixing products from different systems can affect adhesion, finish, and wear time.
