You have got your hard gel ready to go but unsure what you will need to use with it? In this blog I am going to be taking you through all my favourite hard gel essentials and must haves!
Files
I like to have a range of files when doing hard gel, they are all important for different stages.
Green centre file 100/180 grit – This is great for shaping and preparing the nail before any product application.
Blue centre file 80 grit – I like to use this to do a hard gel removal, with its coarse grit it removes it easily.
Brushes
My go to brush for working with hard gels is the “Flat Nylon Gel Brush”, this is great for working the gel onto the nail and creating your desired look. It picks the gel up from the pot well and I just love this brush for cleaning up around the cuticle area and side wall if any gel has flooded.
Yellow Softie Block
This is great for when you are refining the gel before you apply your veneer or design. Using your yellow softie block after you’ve wiped away the tacky layer with some lint free wipes and finishing solution will create a perfectly shaped enhancement without any lumps or bumps.
Lint Free Wipes & Finishing Solution
These products work hand in hand with each other for removing any nail dust and taking off the tacky layer on the gel once cured. They are a vital part of the hard gel application process, they are an ultimate must have.
