So now Summer is officially over(!), it is time to sit down and re-evaluate your skincare routine, we all wrap up and put extra layers on during the colder months so why should we not do the same for our skin?
During the summer months I love to use the lyte butters in my manicure and pedicure services and I retail them to my clients, they just love the lighter feel on the skin. As the weather takes a colder turn, I like to use the more luxurious butters in the tubs which are much thicker and feel much richer on the skin, which is what we all need during the colder months. They are a non-oily, intensely hydrating treatment which will leave skin silky smooth. Not only is it the perfect product for your mani/pedi treatments, but it is a key retail item for your clients for this time of year. The patented formula releases moisturising emollients every 2 hours, for 24-hour hydration which gives 10 times the moisturising power of lotions – amazing!
It might be time to switch up your fragrances too, if you have been using the summery fragrances, typically Coconut/Ginger or White Limetta, think about bringing in the warming scents of Vanilla, Milk & Honey or perhaps Pomegranate which is a beautiful winter fragrance.
We should all be recommending cuticle oils to our clients all year round but especially during this time of year. Our hands will take a bashing over the colder months, so it is important to make sure we are hot on using cuticle oils, they are a massive factor in having long lasting gel enhancements.
My key products to look after your hands and your clients’ hands during the colder months are:
- Non-oily, hydrating butter
- Cuticle oil
- Moisturising hand cleansing gel
