Stirred not Shaken – How to work with Cuccio Veneer Gel Polish

The beauty of Cuccio Veneer Gel Polish is that it is a Pure Gel formula with added colour pigments which is what gives Cuccio Veneer the long wearing properties that our customers absolutely love and gives it that advantage over other gel polishes.

This also means some of our lighter colours need a little more attention due to the thinner consistency of the formula.

To get the best out of Cuccio’s Veneer Gel Polish, our number 1 tip is…

STIR STIR STIR before use…

The added pigments can fall to the bottom of the bottle over time therefore are not dispersed within the gel without a really good stir. The effect of NOT stirring can be:

  • When you apply the product, it appears thin with weak colour dispersal.
  • The product can shrink back from the nail as you are applying it.
  • The product looks patchy on the nail.

All of these can be resolved by a simple STIR before use (either with our Mix Stir Tool or with a birchwood stick).

With the heavy pigmented colours and metallics, you may need to do this once a day if you are planning to use that shade throughout the day or week. 2 or 3 thin coats of a shade will give you total colour coverage.

DO NOT SHAKE!

Shaking the bottles have no effect whatsoever – our Veneer bottles do not contain ball bearings – shaking the bottle will not disperse any of the pigments (as they would if you shook a nail lacquer) so they must be stirred.

Our fabulous Rhiannon has created this simple video to demonstrate how to get the best colour from lighter shades by using a white base coat.
