What Glue Is For You?

A good nail glue is hard to find but how amazing is it that Cuccio have got 2 incredible glues, brush on glue and instant nail glue. There is nothing worse than gluing yourself to a client’s finger, let’s face it we have all been there. In this blog I am going to be covering both glues and sharing what the difference really is between the two.

Brush On Glue

I would highly recommend the brush on glue for a newer nail tech, it is easier to get onto the tip without flooding as the brush doesn’t hold a huge amount, you can really get the glue where you want it to go as you have that brush for the application. The way I like to apply the glue on to the tip using the brush on glue is to have the brush facing upwards and pulling in down resting on the tip, this will let the glue collect in the well of the tip and you will be able to see when you have enough to adhere to the nail plate, when you have applied the tip to the nail you shouldn’t be able to see any air bubbles, if you can see air bubbles it means you haven’t applied enough glue, this can usually be solved by altering the pressure that you are applying to the tip or if you feel like the glue is already drying you can use the brush to drop some more glue into the tip. It will take a few times to get the hang of it but once you have cracked the technique you will love it! The glue takes seconds to dry so it means you can move from finger to finger without having to hold it there for ages to dry.

Instant Nail Glue

This glue is for a more experienced tech as it is a fast-drying glue along with the fact it has no brush to apply with, it just has a little nib which the glue will come out of, applying a little squeeze to the bottle will get the glue to come out, once you have used it a couple of times you will get the hang of it. Too much pressure will result in too much coming out onto the tip then you can get yourself and the client into a right muddle, to little pressure will not release enough glue, once you have had a play around with it you will get the hang of the pressures.
